Dr. Craig Castanet - Owner of Backstrong Non Surgical Rehab Clinic

Dr. Craig Castanet graduated from Palmer-West Chiropractic College in his home state of California in 1986.  He started his professional chiropractic career at an orthopedic, physical medicine and physical therapy clinic in Decatur, GA in 1987. After 18 years experience there, he founded Backstrong Non Surgical Rehab Clinic in 2006. Our office is located at 2771 Lawrenceville Hwy #101, Decatur, GA 30033.
If you have difficult back or neck pain, or hip, shoulder, arm or sciatica pain, and want the fastest, most effective treatment possible, call us at 404-558-4015.

Dr. Castanet Shares His Professional Chiropractic Journey

Dr. Castanet has 36 years of clinical experience; including 18 years in an orthopedic, physical medicine, and physical therapy clinic, participating in the treatment of more than 40,000 patients. He also dedicated time each week, for 5 years, in a neurosurgical practice, learning surgical indications and procedures. Unlike most chiropractors, he has always had a decidedly “medical orientation”. He has excellent professional relationships with pain physicians, orthopedists, and neurosurgeons because, sometimes, injections and surgery are appropriate.

He has always sought the best, newest tools and methods in patient treatment. His exceptional interest and competency in treating neck and back pain derive, in part, from his personal experience of suffering from sciatica for 6 years, previously. Such chronic pain provides the kind of insight and empathy that books, alone, cannot.

Dr. Castanet is certified in physiotherapy, functional capacity evaluations, Medx spinal rehabilitation, whiplash and brain traumatology, active release techniques, spinal decompression, ATM-2, MRI interpretation, spinal biomechanics, functional medicine, Colossus, and has conducted more than 1,000 nerve conduction studies and performed more than 100 FCE’s. He is also a Certified Chiropractic Insurance Consultant and does Independent Medical Examinations and impairment ratings.
