There were several different research studies done on spinal decompression. For the sake of standardizing the treatment, researchers had to decide what parameters to use for everyone in the study. In the real world, however, I treat people based upon their personal needs. And people want various treatment frequency based upon the severity of their pain, their distance to the clinic, their work schedules, their finances and whatever other variables you can imagine are important to any given person.

For some people incapacitated by their pain, they may choose daily treatment until the pain is much better. For others they may want to do one treatment to see how much it helps with a milder pain that they have been living with for years. The treatment can be done in a variety of frequencies. The important thing is to do it frequently enough to continue to improve.
